TRUST LANDS TRUST.

MONTHLY MEETING. Tlie Miasterton Trust lands Trustees held their first meeting alter tlie annual elections last night, there being present— Messrs R. Knahagen \V. H. Jackson, J. H. Pauling, 0. i N. 0. Pragnell, E. G. Eton, D. Oaseiberg, T. B. Michell, and C. E. Daniell. Mr Kraihagen proposed Mr Eton for the position of chairman for the ensuing year. Ma- Daniell seconded the proposition, stating tihat the Trust was entering upon an important year'is work, and it would be necessary to have a good, live chair man. Mr Eton was unanimously appointed to the position. Mr Eton returned thanks for the honour bestowed on him, and stated that he would endeavour to do his best, in the interests of the Trust. Mr A. Hath/away, returning 'officer, announced that 'Messrs Pnagnell, Midhell and Pauling had been elected memlhers of the Trust. The Secretary of the Wellington Barbour Board wrote stating in wha* amounts and the dates on which the £4900 balance of the loan was available.— On the motion of Mr Daniel!, seconded by Mr Krahiagen, it was decided to accept £3OOO On September Ist and £I9OO in January. Mr Pauling was added to the Town Haiti Committee in place of Mr Robinson. The secretary presented a comprehensive report, of the past year'is work. The report was adopted, and the secretary was. accorded a vote of thanks. A committee appointed to consider a motion to increase the secretary's salary recommended that an increase of £26 a year be granted.— The report was unanimously adopted. The secretary reported that a sum of £195 17s lOd had been received in rents from May 12th to June 9th. The treasurer's report showed a credit ait the bank of £l5B 16s 7d. Accounts amounting to £97 2s 6d were passed for payment. On the motion of Mr Michell, seconded by Mr Eton, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Robinson for his past excellent services. •Messrs Daniell, Krahagen, and Jackson, and the chairman ex officio, t were appointed a Finance Oomimitl tee.
