TOWN HALL LIGHTING.

The decision of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees to light the- Town Hall with electricity will afford satisfaction to a large section of the community. The lighting of the hall has been shockingly defective for some time past, and it is safe to say that the income of the Trust has been affected in consequence. The question of finance is, of course, an important one; but an institution such as the Town Hall should he maintained at a reasonably high standard, even though the expense be considerable.
