A PROTEST.
[To The Editor- 1
Sir, — Would you ailkw me, through the medium of your paper, to express the indignation felt by playercs in ilh& Masterton—P. and T. hockey match played at Laasdowne yesterday? Evidently the Ground Oomimiittee considers any .sort" of ground good enough to play on, as long as the inconvenience is not suffered by themselves. . The ground allotted to this match wa<s not fit for a junior match to be played on. H the Association: wish to foster the game of hockey, they should see that senior teams, have the best of grounds available, as no team can possibly hope to give a decent exposition of the game on a ground more suited for grazing sfheep. Thanking you for space for this protest.— I am, etc., A PLAYER.
