THE SCHOOL MUSEUM.
REPORT ON ITS PTtQGRESS^.
The following report of. the Headmaster in connection with, the Museum was read at last night's meeting of the Maisterton District Higlh School Committee:—
, "Since its opening on the 15th ultimo, the School Museum has been visited by a large riumibe'r of persons on the Thursday \afternoons and. evenings that it is available to the public. The small donation box in the porch has, apparently, escaped the notice of visitors, the cash donations to date amounting to the small sum of 3s 2£d only. A placard now indicates the locality of the box, and invites, visitors to assist in the maintenance of the Museum." Votes of thanks' were accorded Messrs J. H. Pauling, A. H. Bygum, D. Hebentori, and B. Byrh for valuable gilts to the Museum, and the- secretary "wasinstructed to write a letter to each of the donors. ' Reference wais made to the untiring work of Mr Jackson in connection with the Museum, and it was decided to plaice on record the Committee's appreciation of the services rendered by the Headmaster. ,
It was decided that the memibens should take charge of the Museum on Thursday nights alternately.
