Colonel Vonljarljarsky, late Master of the Horse of the Imperial Court, who was arrested last month on a, •charge of forging a will to secure for his son the title and estates of Prince Bohdan Oginski, a Polish magnate, has, with Kasandskieff, a lawyer, and two others, been acquitted. Captain Vonljarljarsky. and the remainder of the accused (eight in number) were found guilty of the perpetration of fifty-seven murders. They were arrested at Kazan. Included in the murders for whichthey have been found guilty is that of Dr. Popoff, of Kazan, in connection with which a man and a woman were sentenced to death. The sentence was afterwards commuted to penal servitude for life.
