SICK WORKERS.
The deputation of the Wellington Trades and Labour Council which waited upon Ministers of the Crown yesterday, and asked for railway and sanatorium concessions for sick workers, met with precisely the reply that was- .suggested by the Age would be given. Ministers rightly asked for a- definition of the term "worker," and stated clearly that one section cf the .community could not be given a concession more than another. Ministers might have gone further and stated that there is provision under the Hospital and Charitable Aid Act. for the treatment of the indigent .sick. What further is required, the Trades and Labour Council best knows'.
