WASHINGTON, June 7
President Taft has appealed to the Democratic Senators to reject Mr Roots' amendment of the printing paper clause in the Reciprocity Bill.
It is now believed that the Democratic Senators do not intend to combine the Reciprocity Bill with the Free List Bill, as originally thought probable.
The Democrats have declared that they intend to secure the passage of the Reciprocity Bill. The Senate's final vote is not expected uotil July 14. The Chicago Tribune's poll of the editors of newspapers in twenty-two States shows that the public sentiment largely fa.vours reciprocity.
