N.Z. FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.
.WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Council of the New Zealand Foot/ball Association' met to-aiighfe It' wVis decided that the matter of a visit of a New South. Wales team be deferred till the end of the season, when the question would be considered with a view to arranging a tour for next year. A communication, from the New Plymouth .Club, complaining about the manner m which, the, affairs of the Taranafci: AssoeiatwiT. had been maaaged, wsus referred back to the Club, the meeting holding that communications from Clubs should be forwarded through the governing Association. The Manawatu Association notified that it had. arranged for a- match to- be played on June 3rd, . and asking the Council s ' permission ■ for the §ame to take , place. The application Avas granted. It was decided to ask the Canterbury Association to arrange a date for its match with Otago, and to notify it that a challenge for- _ the Brown Shield had been received from Manawatu. It was decided that 5 per cent, of the nett proceeds of the Canterbury-Qtago match, be? retained by the' Council, and that' the New Zealand Referees Association be asked to appoint officials.
