DtAiNiNiEVIKKK, Last Night. Tlie Dannevkke inaugural championship meeting, under the auspices of the North Island Dog Trials Association', concluded to-day, in favourable weather. The results were as follow : Short, head yarding competition : H.«G. Waters' (ChristchurcUi) Scott, 38 points, 1 ; R. Pollock's (Chri/stchureh) 37 points, 2; J. G. Sutherland's (Hawke's Bay) Fan, 36 points, 3. Thirty-six dogs com-, peted. Hmitaway: R. Patterson's (M«sterton) Bruce, 30 points, 1; G. Smith's OHawke's Bay) Fly, 27 poinjjs. 2; J. McDonald's (Dannevirke) Jock, 24 points, 3. The winner scored the full number of points. Twenty-one dogs competed. Mi- R. D. McLean, President of the Association, was present.
