MOUNTAINEERS DEFYING ELMERAN!. FRIENDLY TRIBES' REPRISALS. (Received Last Night, 10 o'clock.) TANGIER, May 30. Captain Moreau has arrived at Mishrabashr with orders to undertake operations against the mountaineers, who are defying Captain Elmerani's column.
Captain Elmerani obstinately refused to allow Europeans to accompany him, fearing that they would still further excite the rebels.
The Friendly tribes at Fez are carrying out reprisals upon the rebels in the vicinity of the despute. France's promise of French support lias not been used to cover the Sultan's vindictive tendencies.
