THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

The Foresters' Hall was crowded -last.Hight, when the change !<>f progiamme was screened. The pictures presented were of such excellence and variety as to sujt the most fastidious taste. The. dramas were a particularly fine lot. "The Iron Foundry," an adaptation of F. M. Schillier's famous novel, was enacted amidst beautiful sunmuulings, and was a capital production, appealing to all. An Edison film, "Eldora, the Fruit Girl," is a- fine subject, well played, and containing intensely interesting situations. A quaint old English story, "The. Vicar of Wakefield;" was

magnificently acted, and was a great favourite with the audience. "Circle C Ranch's Wedding Present" was

owe of the over-popular cowboy studies wihk-h are so keenly looked forward .to by audiences. The seenics shown were superb. In "On the Blue Nile" there were some pretty .sun-set effects, whilst in "From Lucerne to Mount Hiatus." sp lon did lake and mountain scenery were seen. "Bea.itiful Dahlias" was a lovely '-flower atudy, while another delightful picture was "A Fairy's .tresent." "The Great Italian Hydroplane 77 depicted the fastest boat in the world, covering 50 knots an hour. "The Warwick Chronicle" contained the latest Home and foreign, news, and "The National Sports of .Scotland" gave a line view of the pastimes indulged in. in the "land of the heather." The comedies were rich in fun,the favourites being "Their New Minister" and "A Clever Ruse." The programme will be repeated to-night.
