FIVE NEW WARSHIPS

TO BE BUILT BY 1914

(Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.)

TOKIO, May 27. Japan intends building five 28,000 ton warships. The work of construction will Lcommenced this vear, and completed in 1914. Four of the vessels will be cruisers one of which will be built at Barrow. Each will carry 13.5-in guns. The fifth will be a battleship, which will be built in Japan.
