Tlxe dog trials in connection with the Mastarton Collie Club were continued yesterday on the farm of Mr Cameron, at Te Ore Ore. The weather was fine, though threatening. There was a very fair attendance of those interested in sheep work. The results were as follow: CLASS ll.—Heading, Driving and Yarding.—(A) Open. (B) Open only to competitors residing within th? boundaries of the Wairarapa and Mastei'ton Electoral Districts. Competitor and dog to be at least three months resident- in the districts. Head and bring back 400 yards, drive through ring, dirive (75 yards)' through, one set of hurdles 8 feet apart, drive" 75 yards and yard in a pen,., of 4 hurdles "(one Inutile to be used a® a-gate and may be used as a wing). CLASS 111. Huntaway (Open), between 3 sets of flags set one chain *.paa-t, latter set of flags about 350 yards from starting point. Time allowed, 12 minutes. Points: Huntaway 8, style 6, noise 6, command 40. First prize £7,.second £5, third £2, fourth Mi' A. Henderson's value 7s 6d. , . S. Lambert's "King," huntaway 7, style 5, noise 6, command 9; total 27 points . 1 W. Pringle's "Jedd," 7, 5, 5, 9, total 26 points, 2 J. Kennedy's "Maid," 6, 4, 4, 7, total 21 points 3 J. Paterson's "Top," 5, 4, 3, 7, total 19 points 4 Judge's comments. — First dog: I Let sheep out on left; made good recovery, and completed course in good line; good command and style; time i llmin. 55sec. Second dog: Got through first, flags after fail 1 work, and completed bourse in faiir line; style and command, fair; time llmin 23sec. Third dog: Got tlurough first set flags after fair work; completed course under fair command in 11 min. 15sec. The Teams Match, for three dogs, was commenced, but will not be completed until this morning.
