Particulars now to hand of the recent hurricane in the New Hebrides, where ten vessels were wrecked and two whites and six natives drowned, show that the effects were more devastating that were at first reported.
The storm was general throughout the group. Houses were unroofed and blown down at Aneityum and Tenna. It is supposed that several other vessels, beside the ten reported, were blown ashore.
The steamer Malaria had a trying experience, and lost her. deck cargo fittings. .
