Mr J. T. Hendry, sharebroker, of Auckland (in conjunction with Messrs C. C. Ross and Co., his Masterton agents), reports the following quotations of business at the first call of the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday morning:— MINING-

LOCAL SALES,
PALMERSTON STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph—Special to the Age.) PALMERSTON N., Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— • At our Palmerston sale to-day a full yarding of sheep met a dragging sale, the greater portion of the entry being passed in under the hammer. Sales were effected at the following quotations : —Fat and forward twotooth wethers, 13s lid; fat and forward ewes, lis 2d to 12s; forward ewes, 9s to 9s sd; mixed aged ewes in lamb, 7s 6d to 9s 3d; fat and forward lambs, 8s Id; good store lambs, 5s 8d to 7s 2d; cull ewes, 2s 6d to 4s. Cattle were dull of sale, a good many pens being passed in. We quote:— 3-year killocks, £5 13s; fat cows, £5 12s to £6 2s; forward cows, £2 10s to £3 1(3; store cows, 30s to £2; weaners 255; dairy heifers, £5 10s; dairy cows, £4.
