WAKEMAN'S FESCUE.
TO BE TESTED THIS YEAR. ■/■' Abie* grass Vfeubw-U: 'as./! 'W<aiema.n>'s ■■ Fescue," which, is used extensively in Britain for bowling greens, etc.., and is said to thrive under the most rigorous conditions, and' which w.as inuported by Mr W. Wakeman,' of Pahdatua, is to be tested by the Agrictilbura] Department this year at the Euakura and Tauranga Experimental Farms. The seed, by the way, is not known to commerce, and, therefore, lias not been under cultivation. Mr Wakemaai, howevea-, has been (successful in saving seed, and) all he has secured this season he has handed l to the Department for experimental purposes.
