Mr Horace Rish worth, surgeondentist, of Masterton, who has been on a six weeks' tour of Australia, returned to Masterton yesterday. A cable message received in Palmerston North yesterday, stated that Mr Harry Palmer, the well-known auctioneer and ex-councillor of that town, was lying seriously ill with typhoid fever in Launceston Hospital. Mrs S. Inder, who has been on a health-recruiting trip for the past two months, returned to Masterton this week. Her many friends will be pleasedto learn that she is greatly benefited by the trip. Mr B. Love, representing the Belle Orome Bellringers, arrived in Masterton last evening, to make arrangements for the Company's appearance here on Saturday and Monday, June 3rd and sth.

Dr. and Mrs Chadwick left Eketahuna. yesterday, en route for the Old Country.

A quiet wedding was celebrated at the residence of Mr J. Rawlings, Mangatainoka, on Wednesday, when MiHenry Mossop. son of the late Mr John Mossop. of Cumberland, England, was married to Miss Agnes Jessie Rawlings, youngest daughter of Mr J. Rawlings, of Middle road, Mangatainoka.
