MASTERTON HOSPITAL BALL.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE

A meeting of the General Committee of the Masterton Hospital Ball was held in the Technical School at 3.30 p.m. on Thursday, when there wero twenty members present. Mr E. G. Eton wa6 voted to the chair, and called upon the Secretary for a progress report up to the present stage. Apologies for absence wero received on behalf of Mr J. B. Keith, Mrs Coradine, Mrs Blackman, Mr Noble Campbell, and Mr K. Welch. The names of the • following ladies were added to the supper committee: —Me.sdames Mutrie, Marley, Vile, and W. McKcnzie, .and Miss B. Bennett. The names of the following gentlemen were added to the Floor and Decorative Committee :—Messrs Noble' I 'Campbell, Arlidge, Low, Bran-' son, Sykes, Henderson, and A. Jackson. It was decided to allot prizes to the best dancers at the children's plain and fancy dress ball on the evening of July 7th in the following classes: —Six years and under, twelve years and under, and fifteen years and under. ' It was further resolved to ask the following ladies to judge the children's dancing:—Mrs Kendall and Misses Wolff and Thomas.: . Mrs Cook was appointed ladies president of the sub-committees. The matter of appointing a judge or judges for the most original fancy dress costume at the .children's dance on July 7th was held over for the time being. After arranging for a meeting of the Ticket Committee for 3.30 p.m. on Saturday next, and for a meeting of the Floor and Decorative Committee next week, tickets were issued to those present who were willing to endeavour to dispose ■ of same, and the meeting adjourned.
