Masterton cannot afford to allow Coronation Day to pass with the shrug of the shoulders wihicih was given it by the Borougli Council on Tuesday evening. A large'section of the community is loyal, and has a sense of the fitness of tilings. Every small township along the line is doing sometHsng in the way of celebration. Is tihe report to go hence that Masterton alone allowed this great national, event to pass without a fitting recognition? It is to be hoped not. The Mayor wall at once see the propriety of convening a. public meeting to arrange a demonstration.
