TRUST LANDS CHAIRMAN.
[To The .Editor, i Sir,—l tliiuk the time will soon arrive when tihe Trusiteees of 1 (the / Masterton Trust Lands Trust wall have too. consider the. appointment of a paid chairman. Considering the value of the Trust, and ,the fact that as a body ' they are not agreed amongjst themselves as to the policy of working %he Trust, and some of j them even go so far aiS to cfcirge other members with maladministra- ! tion of itttue Trust, it is time there , was isoine responsible man at the head of affairs, and a paid official ait that. It is hardly to be v expected that a body of gentlprnen can give that .attention to the of the Trust! tfhiat such a valuable endowment warrants. The members of the Trust are all engaged in business or professional duties that must necessarily occupy the 'best part of their time and attention.. I am far from stating the affairs of the Trust have not in the past been administered to the best advantage—th'at charge comes from amongst themselves. Ido think, however, that a paid chairman, appointed by the Trustees, would put a stop to\ibickerings and serious charges amongst the members. — I am, etc., VOTER.
