A deputation of tJEie Masfcerton Borough Council, composed of His Worship ftihe Mayor and Ons. Pragnell and Prentice, waited informally upon 'fclie Acting-Prime Minister yesterday afternoon, in reference to. a Coronation .subsidy for improvements to rfche Park. His Worship stated that *here was a Park Beautifying Committee in the town, and this had raised funds in aid of improving the Park. It was now (suggested that a tea kiosk, or something of the sort, be provided. : The Hon. J. Carrol istated that ' he did not think a tea kiosk TO»on the list. It had been found that application had been made for quite a mUimlber of works which should have been carried out "by the ratepayers.
