Zurka Dubof, painter, aged 24, one of the accused, gave evidence on his own Ibehalf. He disclosed a remarkable history of fails persecution in Russia. Dubof admitted that hexhad visited the .missing man, "Peter the Painter,", whom he knew t>s G-ard-stein.
