Replying to criticism regarding his statement that a fruit combine existed in Sydney, Mr Griffith, Minister of Works, declared that li<s paid fourpence apiece for apples which he could have obtained in Melbourne for a halfpenny. . „ He is of opinion that the municipal authorities should open distributing shops in Melbourne.
