Two seamen of tihe s."s. Rakaia, • charged with broaching cargo at Port Chalmers about 29th, and stealing I four gallons of bottle whisky and a | case of bottled beer (ship'is stores), ' were convicted. Each was ordered to forfeit £4 10s, half the cost of the stolen liquor, and sentenced to 14 days. TJ<p to Saturday, 699 - senior cadets and 320* adults Ifave been enrolled in Areas Nos. 36, 37, and 38. Of the total 400 came in last ,week.
