The "Shipping Gazette" states that inquiries are being made in Liverpool for six steamens of from 7000 tons to 8000 toiiiS dead weight, for time charter between Montreal ana Australia. , The Gazette adds: "Doubtless a good share of the traffic heretofore passing via- New York . could profitably be dealt with at Montreal."
