DISMISSAL OF POLICEMEN.

STRIKE THREATENED

LONDON, May 8. Two railway policemen at West Hartlepool were dismissed for refusing to cease membership of the Amalgamated Railwaymen's Society. Thereupon the local railwaymen decided to tender notice.

They have appealed to the Executive to initiate a strike throughout the North-Eastern railway system.
