Britain, the''stud farm cf the world, is putting up fresh records. At the annual sale subsequent to the Shire Horse Show in London in February, the highest price ever reached at the sales was paid fox a fEkree-year-old stallion—ll7s guineas—fourth in hit class at the show. For another three-year-old sire 401 guineas w»:» paid, and a mare realized 350 guineas. At the Birmingham Shorthorn Show and sale a bull was sold at the great price of 1500 guineas, Capta. Graham Sterling being the seller and Mr W. Duth'ie the purchaser. Lord Lovat secured an equal price for a yearling four years ago, but it was bought for export. A few months back £1365 was paid for a Shorthorn bull. * ■ : '
