MASTERTON HOMING CLUB.

RACE FROM NAPSER. «■ The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held the last race of the season on Saturday, when the Derby was flown from Napier (120 miles). The birds did the distance in very good time, the first one taking .3 hour? 8 minutes. The winner proved to be Mr.W.'Drake's "King Dick," with , Mr J.Dixon's "Sharpshooter" a close second. The result leaves IVIr J. Dixon the : winner of both the young bird and season .aggregates, ujth Messrs W. . Hoar and A. Miller second in each, respectively. Full .particulars of the race a,re as follows:—VV. Drake's "King Dick" ,1125 yds per minute, 1; J. Dixon's "Sharpshooter," 1122.9 yds per minute, 2; W. Bowling's "Splash," 1122.5 yds per minute, 3; W. Gourlay's "Whirlwind," 1121 yds per minute, 4. The winner holds the silver kettle for one year.
