WAIRARAPA AND EAST COAST P. AND A. SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING.
There was a representative gathering of member's at the annual meeting of the above Society, held yesterday, in the Agricultural Hall, Carterton. Mr W. H. Booth, President, moved the adoption of the report (already published in the Age), and the balance sheet. In doing so he congratulated the Society on the loyalty of its members and of exhibitors. He made -special ■ reference to the work which was being done by the cowtesting associations, and spoke encouragingly of the prospects for the frozen meat industry. ±wj" W. C. Buchanan, M.P., congratulated the Chairman upon having presented the best report he had ever 'listened to. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, W. Howard Booth; Vice-Presidents, E. Eagle, junr., and H. Morrison; treasurer, G. W. Deller; auditor, J. Monerieff; General Committee, Messrs C. Campbell, A- Clark, S. ,W. Feast-, G.. Gaskin, T. Ingley, J. Monaghan, C. Morgan, S. G. McDonald, H. Oates, D. Reid, A. J. Reynolds, W. H. Robinson, G. Sievers, J. Snell, J. Standen, A. G. Tyer, and W. J. Denbee. The following new members were elected:— Messrs A. J. Fisher, J. McGuinness, D. J. Cameron, A. J. Paoiton, and H. Moore. Mr J. Bodder moved that a very hearty vote of thanks be accorded to Mr Booth for his generosity in providing grounds for the butter fat competitions. Mr + . Eagle seconded, asking permission to add Mr MacDonald's name to the motion.— The motion was carried amid great applause.
