AN EXCITING INCIDENT,
MARVELLOUS ESCAPES. (Received Last Night, 10.45 o'clock.) LONDON, May 5. The Leba-udy airship was wrecked at Horn borough. This was the first trial since the accident on October 26th. A large crowd was present. The airship ascended in a calm, and after an hour's flight the wind freshened. When the airship was descending it was entirely out of control. ■ The soldiers failed to catch the towing ropes. Women and children ran screaming from the airship's path. The trailing ropes tripped scores. Tho airship just missed a balloon factory, fouled a clump of trees, and burst with a report that was heard a mile away. The airship, which is a complete wreck, is now enveloping a three-storey house. The crew had miraculous escapes, receiving only a severe shaking.
