BRITAIN'S TRADE.
As showing the magnitude of the trade of Great Britain, and the enormous interests invoked when the supremacy of the sea is threatened,, it may be mentioned that in 1910— a year of universal peace—the value of the imports and exports of Britain combined had reached the colossal sum of 1110 millions sterling. The trade with the colonies and possessions was £318,000,000, and the trade' with countries outside the Empire £792,000,000. This, in itself, should be a guarantee of peace.
