Joseph Smith, one of the Mormon presidents, denies charges of loose living and polygamy against the Mormons, ancl invites an investigation at Utah. The Times shows that Smith was fined in 1906 for unlawful cohabitation, and alleges t.hat he confessed to a committee of the American Senate that he had five wives.
