THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
Counter attractions apparently make no difference in, : the attendance/ at "the pictures,'' for the. Foresters' Hall wag filled laßt evening with ari enthusiastic audience which greeted' each of the excellent pictures presented with rounds of applause. There was such a variety of subject's as to please all tastes. Lovers of dramatic studies were well catered for in "The Flower of the Ranch" (a delightful cowboy study), "The Queen of the Nihilists (a tal%» of Red Russia), "Caught by the Camera" (a ■stirring story of the days of the Spanish-American war), and , "The Face at the Window" (a pathetic .subject.) ' 'Wye Valley'' and ' 'Elephant Hunting" were charming scenics. A number of other splendid comic, scenic, dramatic and instructive films were presented. The programme will be shown for the last time to-night.
