HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION.
T.V ;, ♦ : ■ . - ■ The' voting at' the Harbour • Board election in the Wairarapa on Wednesday afforded a complete condemnation of the system under which the voting is conducted v TJiere were in -ill 10,519 electors entitled to vote. Of these 6985 reside in boroughs or town districts, and 3534 p the CounV ties. The returns <)f th© election show that an! aggregate of 3397 votes were recorded in the boroughs, while only 815 were registered in the Counties. It will.thus be seen that, as a result of the rolls being out-of-date and th?re being no other election on the day of the pojl, the country districts were practically disfranchised.
