THE PERSIAN RAILWAY.
The Daily Mail's Berlin correspondent telegraphs: From a variety of different sources bearing marks of .official inspiration the intimation is given that Germany is considering the abandonment of Koweit as the terminus of the Bagdad railway, and is seeking another outlet on the Persian Gulf. The chief pretext advanced for this projected change of plans is the fact that the- Bagdad Railway Company's concession does not refer to Koweit. The real reason" is more likely to be found in the effect which Sir Edward Grey's speech in the House, of Commons has created in Germany —notably his declaration of Britain's intention to insist on her rights in the Persian Gulf.
