DISTRICT NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondents.) CARTERTON. The Taratahi-Carterton Racing Club has decided to allow the Wairarapa Hunt the use of the grounds free of charge for their Steeplechase meeting this year. They have granted th free use of them on condition that they were left exactly in the same condition as before the Hunt Meeting. Messrs Howard Booth and G. W. Deller took up the position as guarantors to the Racing Club that this would be so. The local troop of Boy Scouts meet this evening. A meeting of the general committee of the South Wairarapa Poultry Association takes place on Friday, to arrange the programme, etc., for the forthcoming show.
