CHARITABLE AID COMMITTEE.
' J ■ MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Charitable Aid Committee of the Wairarapa District Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday, there being present: Messrs J. B. Keith (chairman), H. O'Leary, M. J. H. Jackson, W. Fislier, and Mrs Cairns. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. J. C. Ewington and J. Miller. The treasurer's statement showed the receipts for the month to be £392 Is Bd, including a balance from last meeting of £IBB 3s 3d. The expenditure totalled £76 19s, leaving a balance at'date of £315 2s Sd. Sums in respect of charitable aid totalling £34 8s 2d, and £33 7s 2d in connection 1 with the Renall-Sol wayHome, were passed for payment . The names of two recipients of charitable aid were struck off the list, and it was decided to grant relief to the remaining eleven for a further period. The total number of inmates at the Renall-Solway Home was reported to be eight, two having been admitted during the month. The Secretary reported in connection with tho estimates for the "current year, that the Board had allocated a sum of £750, as requested, for tho requirements of the Charitable Aid Committee.
