Mr and Mrs 14. Toogood, of Kohiwai, leave next week on a nine months' trip to the Old Country. Colour-Sergt. H. Perry, who has severed his connection with the Masterton Rifles, was, la-st night elected a life member of the corps. Lieut. Haslam referred to the long and faithful services rendered the corps by Mr Perry. At the meeting of the Masterton Amateur Theatrical Society last evening, Mr G. GV BransOn was appointed secretary and director of the Society. A Dunediu telegram states; that the condition of Mr Clark, M.P. for Port Chalmers, is causing his friends anxiety.
