PONCAROA STOCK SALE.

Messrs Abraham and Williams report as follows: We offered on 20th iust. a good yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle, to a large attendance of farmers. We had a very good enquiry for good-skiniled wethers, which sold well. Other classes of sheep sold at late rates, most of the yarding changing hands. Quotations Two-tooth ewes, 12s j 2-tooth wethers, 10s to lis 6d; 5-year ewes in lamb, 6s 9d; full-mouth ewes 3s to 4s 3d; lambs, 4s 7d to 6s.;' 15montb. steers, £3; weaner steers, 325; heifers in calf, £3 6s; empty cows, £3 10s j bull, £2 17s. EKETAHUNA SALE.

Messrs Dalgeiv and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual sale at ! Eketahuna on Friday, 21st inst:—; We had a fair good yarding of both sheep and cattle, and have to report a totaLxsleararce, with the exception of two small pens of sheep. Sheep of good quality sold at late rates, while poorer sorts were very much neglected. We quote:— Mixed aged ewes, 3s 6d, 4s> Id, 4s 8d to 5s 3d-; better sorts, 6s 2d, 6s 7d to 8s 9d; forward ewes, 6s-Cd, 7s 3d, 8s 6d: to 8s 9d; f.m. ewes in lamb, 7s Id to 8s 2d j lambs, ds 6d, 5s lid to 6s 3d; fw© lambs, to 7s; 2-tooth wethers, to 12s sd. Cattle.— 2£yr steers (good) £5; 2yr steers, £4 5s to £4 lis; spring cows, £4 8s to £4 15s.

The Neiv Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report having held: their usual weekly sale yesterday, when they submitted a good yarding of both sheep and cattle to a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was keen, but very little passed at auction, although we made practically a total clearance. We quote.— Two-tooth wethers, 9s 6d, 10s 6d to 13s; ewes, 8s to 9s; w;oolly lambs, Bs, 8s 6d, 9s; heifers (dairy) £4 2s to £4 ss:; . store cows, £3 5s to €3- 10s ;> wearer calves r: 21, .£1 5s to CI 10s.
