It is anticipated that through the harm that has befell many potato, crops in this district through blight, this commodity will this season bring handsome returns to those who have been successful in growing good crops. ' It is stated, on what appears good authority, that the price of meat in Carterton will show an advance nest month. There is practically no interest being taken in the Wellington Harbour Board election in this cjistrict at the present time, but it is to be hoped that before the date of polling comes along interest will revive. Mrs G.
