AMUSEMENTS.

."THE WANDERERS"

MUSICAL COSTUME COMEDY COMPANY.

"The Wanderers," said to be a clever combination of entertainers, who, in style, emulate the Scarlet Troubadours, are to commence a brief season of two nights in Masterton a,t the Town Hall, commencing on Monday next. The company is illuminated by a "star" in the person of Miss Phyliss Hopwood Foldi, tho ■brilliant English society entertainer, of whom the Syndey Daily Telegraph writes as follows: Miss Phyllis ' Hopwood Foldi, who won unusually high commendation as a "monologue" and "pianologue" in England and the Continent, appeared before a very large and very cordial audience last evening. So warm was the welcome, indeed, and so acceptable the new form of entertainment submitted that great enthusiasm was displayed by the public. ' ; .tuiss Phyllis Hopwood Foldi has specialised very cleverly in the class of work made so popular here and elsewhere by Mel. B. Spiirr. Her stage appearance is decidedly attractive, she dresses charmingly, her diction is clear and-effective, and-under her hands the piano seemed like a living thing. The Wanderers are a strong company, and include, besides the "star," Mr Leslie Holmes, Mr George Winstank\\\ Mv J. D. Keegan, Miss Ruby Gwest, Miss Evoril Heggie, Miss Madeline ■ Feme, and Mr J. Leith Harvey. The musical arrangements are in the hands of Mr Herbert Brahms, the well-known conductor of Mr George Stephenson's Opera Company. Tito plan of reserved seats is now open at Miss Rive's, stationer.
