On account of James Grant (jtiawera)— Honest Lad, 87£ guineas; Brown Bill* 80 guineas. On account of Mr Knight (Longburn)— Sir David, 60 guineas; Sir James, 85 guineas. On account of Kennedy and Wylie (Christchurch) —Barlock, 30 guineas. On account of Hoult and Sons (Feilding)— Doctor Ewart, 210 guineas; Maori Chief, guineas. On account of S. Wilson (Christchurch) —Border Shepherd 190 guineas; Glenlee, 155 guineas; Baron's Choice, 90 guineas'; Better Luck, 125 guineas. On account of P. Small (Canterbury)— Lord Banker 115 guineas; Highlander, 100 guineas. On account of Mr Carron (Canterbury)— Clyde, 135 guineas; Darnley, 150 guineas. On account of J. Grant, (Invercargill— Kitchener, 80 guineas. On account of J. Blair (Otago) —Baron's Ernest, guineas; Hector, 65 guineas. On account of Small (Allanton)— Young Marcellus 62£ guineas; Captain Alexander, 47 £ guineas.
Mares.— On account of Mitchell and O'Brien (Oamaru)—Miss Modie, 160 guineas; Flowers Fancy, 155 guineas ; Pansy, 250 guineas; Miss Harvey, 175 guineas.
(Received Wednesday, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Wednesday. At the sales 158 yearlings brought a total of 26,425 guineas. A PositanoDiploma colt topped the list with 1100 guineas. A Saint Ambrose— Neva colt brought 900 guineas, a Positano—Lady Trenchant colt 610 guineas, and a Flavus—Gold Grip filly 875 guineas. (Received Wednesday, 11.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, Wednesday.
