LADIES' HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Ladies' Hockey Association was held in the Y.M.C.A..rooms last evening, there being present: Messrs B. Iveson, J. 8., Rue, S. and F. Morgan and H. Miller, and Misses 0. Richards, K. O'Leary, Z. Humphries, D. Kennedy, and A. O'Leary, and the secretary (Mr R. Hatch.) . The annual.report was read and adopted. The 'balance sheet, Avhich showed a credit of ."7 14s 7d, was also adopted. A letter war. received from the New Zealand Ladies'. Hockey Association, stating that the next tournament was to be held in Wellington, further particulars of which would be communicated later.

A set of rules was adopted, after slight amendments were made. \Offieers for the ensuing year were elected as under: —, Patron, Mr W. C. Buchanan, M.P. Mr J. B. Rue; Vice-Presidents, Messrs J. Macara, W. H. Jackson, W. Barton, W. Moore, R. G. Welch, B. Iveson, and Dr Bey; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr R. Hatch; Management Committee, Misses K. O'Leary, Z ; Humphries, 0. Richards, and Messrs* H. Miller and' S! Morgan; Auditor, Mr H. Miller ; Postponement Committee, Miss Z. Humphries, K. O'Leary, and Mr A. Fisher; Vice-president to the N.Z. Association, Mrs Humphries (Greytown); delegate to N.Z. Association, Mr J. J). M. Mclntyre. The day for the commencement of the season was fixed as May 11th. A meeting of the Management Committee is to be held at Carterton on May 4th to draw up the fixtures. At the request of the Greytown delegates, it was decided to have the championship cup inscribd at the cost of the Association. • On the motion of Mr Rue, seconded by iMr Miller, it was resolved that the selection committee be composed of two gentlemen from North and two from South Wairarapa. Messrs Rue, Iveson, S. Morgan, and A. Coe were appointe'd. In the event of Mr Coe not being able to act, the Greytown Club will be given the option to appoint a substitute. Mrs Humphries was accorded a vote of thanks for accompanying the team to Nelson.

The secretary was also accorded a vote of thanks.
