WEDDING.
BRIGHT— GORDON
A very pretty wedding was celebrated on Wednesday last, when Helen Mary, daughter of Mr Peter Gordon, was united in matrimony to Mr Walter J. Bright, of Ha-wera. The ceremony was performed the residence of the bride's father, Eden Villa, South Road, Masterton, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. Robert Wood, of Waikari. The bride was charmingly attired in.a dress of creme ascalade, trimmed with real silk Maltese lace, with coiu-t train*. The bridal yeil was silk Brussels net, with the customary orange blossoms, and the bride carried a lovely shower bouquet. Three bridesmaids were fh attendance. Miss Grace Gordon, sister of the bride, chief bridesmaid, and Miss Amy Reynolds each wore an ivory silk crepe de chene dress, all braided, complete with black hats, trimmed with bronze, and each carried shower bouquets of white and bronze. Miss Mpna McLean, niece of the bridegroom, wore a white muslin dress and a Juliet cap, and carried a crook. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr James Bright, who acted as best man, and Mr John Maclellan as groomsman. The bouquets were the gift of, and made by, Miss Amy Reynolds. The Wedding March was played by Mr Herbert E. Gordon. After the ceremony'the large number of quests sat down to a sumptuous breakfast, at which tho usual toasts ware honoured. The newiymarried couple left per motor-car for Wellington, where the honeymoon i? to be spent. The following is a of some of the- dresses:—Mrs P. Gordon, the bride's mother, wore a linndsoTno black brocaded silk dress and black bonnet, trimmed with silver gray tips; the bridegroom's mother wore a black silk dress, with a black toque to match; Mrs Matthew Gordon wore a silk cream crepe de chene, trimmed with real lace, and a black picture hat; Mrs Herbert E. Gordon wore a 'cream tailor-made costume, trimmed with vieu-: rose silk, and hat to match; Mrs J. V. Gordon wore a navy blue- poplin de foie dress and a navy ■ blue velvet hat to match. Thobrirle's ( travelling dress was a taiior-macie I navy blue costume, and blue felt hat trimmed with grey ostrich feather.
