THE PAHIATUA SEAT.

The Reform Party does not intend to allow the Pahiatua seat to go uncontested. The sitting memfber (Mr R. B. Ross) lias views on the land question which are in close approximation to those of the Opposition. He' has also displayed a keen interest in the welfare of the small settler. As, however, lie apparently will not pledge himself to support principles before Party, he cannot expect the sympathy of that Inrse section of the community which considers that the Ward Ministry ms incapable of framing a satisfactory land policy.
