The Marlborough Racing" Club is to be congratulated) upon the steady advancement it has made during the past few years, and the programme for this year's Meeting, to be held' at Riverlands on the 3rd and 4th of Mai is a most creditable one, including, as it does, a cup of 300 sovs., and other races ranging from £6O to £l5O. There are seven races each day, and all classes of horses are carefully catered for. During last month the Club ha® spent a considerable sum of money in enlarging the totalisator shed, putting up a new jockeys' room, extending the weighing room and painting the whole of the buildings on the course. It is anticipated that this year's meeting will be a record one in. every way, and his Excellency the Governor has accepted an invitation from the Stewards to be present. Nominations close with Mr L. Griffiths, Blenheim, on Saturday next.
