BRIGHT—GORDON. A quiet wedding was celebrated at Te Whiti on Wednesday' afternoon, when Mr .. alter Bright, son of Mr and Mrs F. J. Bright, of Eketahuna, was united to Miss Gordon, daughter of Mr P. Gordon, of Te Whiti. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. a. T. Thompson, 8.A., in the presence ol' a number of relatives and friends.

LOMAS—HOOPER

A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church yesterday, when Miss Eva Hooper, eldest daughter of Mr L. J. Hooper, of Masterton, was married to Mr James Lomas, son of Mrs Lomas, of Wadestown. Miss Rita Hooper was bridesmaid, and Mr T. Lomas best man, the- ceremony being performed by the Rev. Watson. At the conclusion the party adjourned to the residence of the bride's parents in Dixon Street, where an enjoyable wedding breaMast was partaken of, those present joining in wishing the newlymarried couple every happiness and prosperity.

A very pretty wedding was solemnised in Knox Church yesterday, the contracting parties being Miss Edith Peterson, oldest daughter of Mr Peterson, of Mt. Bruce, and Mr Richard Field, of Mt. Bruce. The bride, who was given away by Mr Johansen, was tastefully attired in a cream lustre dress, trimmed with lace and hat to match. She was attended by Misses 0. Field, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Jfetej-son, cousin of the bride, while Mr Carlson was best man. I'lie Rev. Thompson conducted the ceremony. After the ceremony the wedding party were conveyed to the Arcadia Tea Rooms, "'here a reception was held, and the customary toasts were honoured. ,
