EASTER ATTRACTIONS.

! KOPUARANGA SPORTS. The public of iiiasierton and surrounding districts may confidently look forward to an ideal outing on • Easter Monday by attending the annual sports gathering of the Kopnaranga Sports Club. This function was inaugurated close on fourteen years ago, and has, since its inception, been one of the most popular meetings of its kind in the Wairar&pa. In the past the foot events have been confined to professionals, but this year four amateur handicaps have been included in the programme. No less than £7O in cash, and trophies has been allotted, and this has attracted very satisfactory entries. Judging by the handicaps, keen competition should result in every race. The Masterton South Brass Band will be in attendance, and. refreshments (dinner, afternoon tea, aJid tea), will be obtainable on the ground.. The day's pleasure will 'be brought to a close by a social and dan-ce.^ ©*

TAUHERENTKAU RAC^S.

The Tauherenikau races, to 'be held I on Easter Saturday and Monday, will 1 provide an enjoyable Easter xor the sporting public. The arrangements are such as to ensure a successful meeting should the meteorological conditions .turn out to be favourable. The handicapper's adjustments may be considered satisfactory, and' as a result there will probably be some 'exciting finishes during the meeting. Ample* totalisator accommodation is provided, and everything points to the fact that this popular event will bo well oatronised. I
