HOME OF THE SPORTSMEN.

This district for a number of years lias been looked upon as one of the ideal spots, from a sportsman's point of view. We have within easy reach the best deer-stalking country in New Zealand. The Wairarapa Lake abounds with ducks, while the surrounding hills are thickly populated with quail and other game. The result of the foregoing conditions has been the building up of one of the most flourishing businesses in the district. Messrs King and. Henry have built up a connection by catering for the wants of all those that love a day with the gun or rifle. This firm each year puts through their hands over one hundred and fifty thousand shot gun cartridges, and over a quarter of a million of oall cartridges. These people also have- a very large postal business, and never a day passes without several parcels are posted all over New Zealand. It is pleasing to know that the cause of this success is their untiring efforts to cater for a sportsman's requirements in every respect, by fair dealing and selling at city prices. There is no doubt that the coming season will be a record one from ereiy psini c! riew, an** shooting men will do well to cail on the firm to get their gear for the opening.
