TIMARU MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

TIMARU, Last Night. A Temuka letter carrier, a youth 19 years of age, named Boyd, was committed for trial for two offences against the postal laws. One was the destroying ami the other detaining trade circulars entrusted to him to deliver.

A young man, named Brown, alias Williams, was fined 20s each on live charges of stealing rugs from farmers' vehicles in stables on Saturday. Some he sold to a second-hand dealer. ■ The Magistrate refused to compensate the latter from money found on accused, as he had been too careless.
